Princess Bubbles

We recently had the privilage and great blessing to adopt a chihuahua puppy. Some one had found her, and to make the story Short, we decided to take it upon ourselves to care for her. We fell in love with her from the first moment. Asha Our 6 year old daughter Imediately named her Princess Bubbles and took care of her quite well. We all agreed that Asha would be her primary owner.
Princess Bubbles had some constipation problems when she arrived. She would Cry everytime she tried to poop. Besides that, she was a perfect, playful, and gentle little puppy. We took her to the vet a few of days after her arrival. They couldn't really pinpoint what was wrong with her. They gave her an enema and we were told she might have Parvo and prescribed her antibiotics. The antibiotics weren't really helping and during the following days, she gradually became less active and more sick. We did everything in our power to keep her well. Asha offered daily prayers so she could feel better. One night Asha went to bed and 5 minutes later, she realized she hadn't said goodnight to Bubbles. She quickly got out of bed and came to see Bubbles and sang her a song and told her that she would pray for her again, gave her a kiss and went back to bed. Bubbles condition only worsened and after a few days she past away. We were all very sad especially Asha. On June 4th. 2008 at around 9:30 pm., Bubbles died warm on her bed with a warm little sweater that tia Vicky had made for her a few hours before.

That night, Asha's prayer went like this:

Heavenly Father,

thank you Heavenly Father for giving me Princess Bubbles.

I'm sad today because Princess Bubbles died.

Thank you for receiving her spirit

I'm sad but I know we will see her again and she can lick my face all that she wants

and we are going to play and be together again for ever.

I love you.

in the Name of Jesus Christ,

Amen.

The Faith of Asha strengthen my sad spirit. Her Faith is so Strong.
We know that Bubbles is happy and free of pain now.
At first I really wondered why we had gone through this bitter sweet experience but now I know why. In her short life, Princess Bubbles brought us so much joy and taught us all great lessons and lots of love.

Yesterday Tio Neri sent us this story in an e-mail. It moved our hearts so much because of our similar experience. I had to post it

here it is:
Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month.
The day after shedied, my 4 year old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about howmuch she missed Abbey. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could so she dictated these words: Dear God, Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick. I hope you will play with her. She likes to play with balls and to swim. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her. You will know that she is my dog. I really miss her.
Love,
Meredith.
We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it.Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office. A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I told her that I thought He had. Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, 'To Meredith , 'in an unfamiliar hand. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called, 'When a Pet Dies.'Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey & Meredith and this note: Dear Meredith, Abbey arrived safely in heaven. Having the picture was a big help. I recognized Abbey right away. Abbey isn't sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don't need our bodies in heaven, I don't have any pockets to keep your picture in, so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by. Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you. I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much. By the way, I'm easy to find, I am wherever there is love.
Love,
God
